It’s been a long while since I’ve posted a new song. I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts, Welcome to Night Vale, and they have a new song they post every week. It’s quite catchy, and I find myself to enjoy it a lot. This week is a short one, with Thanksgiving this Thursday. Enjoy yourselves, and don’t stress too much, friends!
Louis Futon – Wasted On You (feat. ROZES) – I’ve been listening to more remixes and trap beats. Here’s something I jammed to a bit. Have a good week, guys!
Strobe – deadmau5 – Here is another piece I found while hitting the related videos on YouTube. This is Canadian EDM producer deadmau5, and he’s really popular (especially among my friends in high school). I never listened to him too much growing up, but since recently expanding my knowledge of music other than punk, I grew to like his works. This song is really quite old, but there was a recent album released with remixes of “Strobe.” Check them out!
If I Ever Was a Child – Wilco – I was scrolling through newly released albums today, and I came across this gem. So I haven’t heard this band before this album, but this is from their tenth released album. Wilco is an American alternative rock band based in Chicago, Illinois. They also are listed as alternative country. I think they got cool vibes, and if you look at their lyrics, it kinda makes you think.
Enjoy. And have a good week!
My brother got me into some heavier music. This band is a metalcore group that originated in Rockford, Illinois (near my hometown). One of the band’s main themes is to spread a message of positivity.
I MISSED an opportunity to see them this summer. Hopefully I can see them live one day.
Hope your weekends went well! Good night!
After a long first week, it’s always nice to kick back to some chill music.
Blink-182 is a band I grew up with. My brother was a huge influence on my music interests, and so I grew up with a lot of punk music and songs full of angst. So here is a song that was released in Blink’s newest album. Steve Aoki released his remix just a week or two ago. I stumbled across it last weekend, and I’ve listened to this more than I’d like to admit.
I’m new to Aoki’s work, but he’s produced and collaborated with some pretty cool people. Probably adding him to my growing list of music to listen to.
It may be the middle of the night, but it’s Sunday! Time for the song of the week.
This week is from an electropop/chillwave artist duo known as ODESZA. One of my friends introduced me to their stuff about a year ago, and I’ve loved them ever since. I listen to all types of music and love finding new songs to listen to, so if anyone has suggestions, feel free to stop by my suite and add a new tune to my playlist!
