Sunday evening was quite an exhilarating experience. We learned to realized our potential and not to compare ourselves to the highlight reel from another person’s social media page. Monti Washington is truly an inspiration for young people in any situation. We cannot judge others for what they are going through or how they may act; each person has their own unique story, and they go through life proving that their past does not define them or stuck in that situation and never improving.
One very important thing Monti told us is to have goals. The end game is to not have a dead end job, but to have a fruitful career where we can grow. He talked about making professional goals that are short term and long term. Realize your potential, and make plans to get there, one step at a time.
